Orlando Paiva, Jr.

Orlando Paiva Jr. comes from a prestigious family of tango dancers and instructors from Rosario, Argentina. His father, Orlando Paiva Sr., taught tango since the 1950s and is credited with introducing Argentine Tango Salon Style to Los Angeles and the Bay Area. He was featured in the film, “Assassination Tango,” written and directed by actor Robert Duvall, who was a regular student of his.

Orlando Paiva Jr. carries on the legacy of his father's smooth, elegant and distinctive style of tango. His precision footwork and elegant posture have captured the attention of dancers across the globe, inspiring them to learn what has come to be known as the "Paiva Style."

Argentina is Orlando Paiva’s native country. Born and raised in Rosario, he has taught and performed in Buenos Aires, in Europe and all over the U.S. where the people fell in love all over again (or for the first time) with this romantic and elegant style of TANGO that is such a hallmark of the Paiva legacy. He is the founder of the Brujo Tango Congress in Reno, Nevada, and has been a major participant in congresses in Buenos Aires and the U.S.
